The Generation Amazing Foundation (GA) and Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Qatar Economic Forum to enhance education and development capacity. This partnership aims to expand positive influence in schools, sports clubs, and communities by collaborating on joint programs for students and communities. With the agreement set to last three years, both organizations will work together to promote values and knowledge exchange among youth through various events hosted by the Kingdom, such as the 2024 Global Goals World Cup in Riyadh.

The signing ceremony was attended by HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, SFA President, HE Hassan Al-Thawadi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, and Chairman of the Council of GA, and Nasser Al-Khori, Executive Director of GA. Al-Thawadi emphasized the importance of integrating sports and development values into educational and community activities, with a focus on inclusivity, health, equality, and public welfare in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Prince Khaled highlighted the shared belief of using sports as a catalyst for positive change, with a commitment to empowering youth and nurturing communities to make a lasting impact.

Al-Khori, the Executive Director of GA, expressed the transformative potential of the collaboration between GA and SFA, aiming to leverage the power of sports to create lasting positive change in communities locally and globally. Mandated by the Ministry of Sport as part of Vision 2030, the SFA aims to increase the percentage of individuals engaged in physical activity by 2030. The partnership with GA supports the SFA’s mission to develop partnerships, share best practices, and contribute to realizing Vision 2030 objectives by promoting sports and physical well-being.

Since its establishment in 2018, the SFA has led various sports initiatives to increase public participation and raise awareness about the benefits of sports on physical and mental well-being. The GA, originating in 2010 as a social and human legacy initiative of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™, focuses on empowering youth and communities through sports. With outreach efforts in 75 countries, the initiative has impacted over 1 million individuals by imparting valuable life skills such as communication, leadership, teamwork, and organization. Through the partnership, GA and SFA aim to further their collective dedication to making a positive impact that transcends boundaries and inspires populations worldwide.

In conclusion, the collaboration between GA and SFA represents a significant milestone in advancing the legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ by harnessing the power of sports to promote positive change. This partnership highlights the shared commitment of both organizations to empower youth, foster inclusivity, and nurture communities through sports and development initiatives. With a focus on promoting values, knowledge exchange, and community engagement, the MoU between GA and SFA sets the stage for a transformative collaboration that aims to create lasting impact and inspire populations globally.
