Pickleball, a sport that started in American backyards in the sixties, has evolved into a global sensation enjoyed by millions of people. The sport is now gaining even more attention as it announces the launch of the new Pickleball World Rankings (PWR), the PWR World Series, and the PWR World Tour. The announcement was made by PWR, The Times Group, international Pickleball bodies, and top players like Megan Fudge DeHeart. The goal of PWR is to bring regional bodies together under one unified structure to enhance sports governance and ensure the future longevity of the sport.

The GCC has been named as the region that will host the first PWR World Series in March 2025. This series will offer $1.5 million in prize money, making it the highest ever offered in the sport. The PWR World Tour will also offer a total of $15 million in prize money, attracting existing stars and future champions from around the world to compete and showcase their talent in front of a global audience. This initiative aims to take Pickleball to the next level both on and off the court.

Celebrities like Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Taylor Swift have already joined the Pickleball craze, further boosting the sport’s popularity. The excitement surrounding Pickleball is evident as more and more people, including high-profile personalities, are drawn to the sport and its engaging gameplay.

Pranav Kohli, CEO and Founder of PWR, expressed his excitement about the growth and future prospects of Pickleball. With the creation of the Pickleball World Rankings, PWR World Series, and PWR World Tour, he aims to provide a platform for players to showcase their skills and reach their full potential. The increased prize money and global exposure offered by PWR will not only benefit current players but also attract new talent and widen the reach of the sport to millions of fans worldwide.

The introduction of the Pickleball World Rankings, PWR World Series, and PWR World Tour marks a significant milestone in the sport’s history, signaling a new era of competitiveness and professionalism. By organizing top-tier events with substantial prize money, PWR aims to elevate Pickleball to a new level of recognition and make it a household name in the world of sports. With support from renowned figures and a growing fan base, Pickleball is set to continue its upward trajectory and inspire more people to pick up a paddle and join the fun.

In conclusion, Pickleball’s rise to prominence as the world’s fastest-growing sport is undeniable, with the launch of the Pickleball World Rankings, PWR World Series, and PWR World Tour serving as a testament to its widespread appeal and potential.
