Friends of the Environment Centre, affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, recently organized a panel discussion titled “Hamzat Wasl” as part of their summer activities in Doha. The main goal of the event was to introduce the centre’s goals and vision, promote positive communication among youth, and provide enriching experiences for all participants. The discussion, led by Hassan Al Kathiri, focused on the centre’s activities and its mission to care for, enrich, and preserve the environment. The event also aimed to equip youth with communication and social skills that contribute to building human relationships, which are fundamental for coexistence and mutual understanding in society.

Al Kathiri emphasized that the event was part of the centre’s summer activities, which included lectures, workshops, and external visits and trips. The discussion aimed to boost self-confidence among young people and teach them how to express themselves clearly and trust their abilities. This helps in building strong, independent personalities capable of facing life’s challenges. The event served as a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences, fostering thought and creativity. Sharing perspectives helps broaden knowledge horizons and understand different cultures, which in turn reduces intolerance and promotes tolerance and coexistence in society.

The panel discussion was a great opportunity for participants to engage with each other, learn from one another, and develop important skills that will benefit them in their personal and professional lives. The event also emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability, highlighting the role that young people can play in protecting the environment for future generations. Al Kathiri stressed the importance of positive communication and teamwork in achieving these goals, as well as the need for young people to be proactive and take responsibility for their actions.

The event was well-received by participants, who appreciated the opportunity to learn new skills, share their perspectives, and connect with like-minded individuals. The discussions helped to inspire creativity and critical thinking among youth, encouraging them to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to environmental challenges. The event also promoted a sense of community and collaboration, fostering a supportive environment where young people could learn, grow, and thrive together.

In conclusion, the panel discussion “Hamzat Wasl” organized by the Friends of the Environment Centre was a successful and impactful event that provided valuable learning experiences for youth in Doha. The event emphasized the importance of positive communication, self-confidence, and teamwork in building strong, independent personalities capable of facing life’s challenges. By promoting tolerance, understanding, and environmental conservation, the event helped to create a more inclusive and sustainable society where young people can thrive and make a positive impact on their communities.
