Flydubai has announced the launch of direct flights to two new destinations in Iran, with the start of a four-times weekly service to Kish Island from September 7 and a twice-weekly service to Kerman from September 9. Flights to Kish International Airport and Kerman International Airport will operate from Terminal 2, Dubai International. Emirates will codeshare on these routes, offering passengers more options to connect through Dubai’s international aviation hub. Flights to Kish International Airport will operate four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while flights to Kerman International Airport will operate twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.

Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, stated that the airline is dedicated to opening up under-served markets and providing customers with more convenient travel options to Iran. With Kerman and Kish Island as the newest destinations, Flydubai looks forward to offering passengers more opportunities to explore their extensive network. Flydubai operates flights to over 125 destinations, with 90 under-served markets that did not previously have direct air links to Dubai. The carrier has also commenced daily services to Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan. Later this year, flydubai is set to welcome Basel in Switzerland, Riga in Latvia, Tallinn in Estonia, and Vilnius in Lithuania.

These new flight routes provide travelers with convenient access to two popular destinations in Iran, known for their unique attractions and cultural offerings. Kish Island, situated in the Persian Gulf, is a popular resort destination known for its beautiful beaches, shopping malls, and diving opportunities. The island also boasts historical sites such as the Ancient Town and Kariz Underground City. Kerman, on the other hand, is a vibrant city in southeastern Iran, known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and hospitable locals. The city’s highlights include the Ganjali Khan Complex, Jameh Mosque, and Rayen Citadel.

With the launch of direct flights to Kish Island and Kerman, travelers now have more options to explore Iran’s diverse landscapes and cultural heritage. Flydubai’s commitment to opening up under-served markets reflects the airline’s dedication to providing passengers with convenient and affordable travel options. The codeshare agreement with Emirates further enhances connectivity through Dubai’s international aviation hub, allowing passengers to easily reach their desired destinations. Stay tuned for more updates on Flydubai’s expanding network and upcoming flight routes to exciting destinations around the world.
