Manchester United’s Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes recently took responsibility for the dismissal of former manager Erik Ten Hag by apologizing to him on behalf of the players. Ten Hag was sacked after the team’s poor performance, with United sitting in 14th place in the Premier League and struggling in the Europa League. Fernandes, who was named captain by Ten Hag, expressed disappointment over the manager’s departure and acknowledged the need for the team to take some blame.

Despite the difficult circumstances, Fernandes has continued to perform well on the pitch, scoring goals in recent matches. He netted in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea and also scored two goals in a League Cup match against Leicester. The Portuguese midfielder recognizes the team’s need to improve and is eager to work with new permanent manager Ruben Amorim. Amorim, who led Sporting Lisbon to two league titles, will officially take over the reins at United on November 11.

Fernandes is a supporter of Sporting Lisbon and admires the impact that Amorim had on the club, bringing excitement and success. He believes that Amorim can similarly transform United and bring the players together to achieve better results. Despite the team’s struggles in the league, Fernandes remains optimistic about the future under Amorim’s guidance.

The draw against Chelsea left United in 13th place, trailing behind the top teams in the league. A lack of goals has been a major issue for the team, with only nine league goals scored so far this season. Interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy, who took over from Ten Hag, remains confident that the players will find their form and start converting their chances to secure positive results.

Van Nistelrooy emphasized the need for the players to regain confidence and trust in their abilities to turn the season around. He believes that with the right mindset and continued hard work, the team will ultimately start winning games and climbing up the league table. As the players adjust to Amorim’s tactics and leadership, they are expected to improve and showcase their potential on the field.

Overall, despite the challenges faced by Manchester United and the departure of Erik Ten Hag, Bruno Fernandes remains committed to helping the team succeed. With a new permanent manager in place and a renewed sense of purpose, United will aim to bounce back from their disappointing start and compete at the highest level in the Premier League. The players, including Fernandes, are determined to work together under Amorim’s guidance to achieve their goals and bring success back to Old Trafford.
