An open house session held by the Indian Embassy Abu Dhabi and IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi saw around 500 students and parents clearing doubts on eligibility, faculty, fees, and scholarships. The session, led by IIT Delhi faculty, addressed queries on the admission process for undergraduate courses for the upcoming academic year, with the first batch set to be admitted in August or September. Due to high demand, a second session was scheduled, which also received an overwhelming response.

The overseas campus of India’s premier technical institute will offer bachelor’s programs in computer science and engineering and energy engineering, with all faculty members from reputed institutions. Admissions for the academic year 2024-25 are currently underway through the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) 2024 and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE – Advanced) 2024. The eligibility criteria and requirements for JEE (Advanced) can be found on their official website.

The CAET examination is scheduled for June 23, consisting of three papers in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, all to be completed in 90-minute durations. All papers require mandatory completion, with the test being held at various centers in the UAE. Candidates must register online by June 3, with admit cards available for download on June 14, and results announced on July 7. Registration can be done on the university’s admissions website.

The IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi campus is situated in Khalifa City, offering a four-year course with an annual tuition fee of Dh81,375 and total fee of Dh325,000. On-campus accommodations are available for male and female students, with housing fees of Dh1,000 per month for double occupancy and Dh2,000 per month for single occupancy. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, laundry services, entertainment room, fitness center, security, and a student lounge.

Scholarship opportunities are available for UAE nationals, covering 100% of the tuition fee, along with a monthly stipend and housing fee waiver for double occupancy. Similarly, students admitted through JEE – Advanced 2024 will pay the same tuition fee as at IIT-Delhi, with additional benefits. International students, including Indian expats, can qualify for performance-based scholarships and fee waivers based on their CGPA scores. The admission committee will determine scholarships based on CAET performance and other eligibility criteria.
