The recent announcement of Oasis’s reunion tour has created a buzz among fans worldwide, igniting feelings of nostalgia and excitement. The Gallagher brothers, who had famously feuded for 15 years, will grace the stage together for the first time since 2009. Local fans in the UAE share their anticipation for the iconic Britpop band’s upcoming tour, set to kick off on July 4, 2025, in Wales.

Sharon Bannerton, an Irish expat and PR professional, expressed her thrill at the news of Oasis’s reunion. She reflected on the journey of the Gallagher brothers, acknowledging the public and personal struggles they endured over the years. Sharon sees the tour as a beacon of hope, symbolizing the healing power of time and the possibility of reconciliation after a long period of conflict.

The prospect of Oasis performing in the UAE has stirred excitement among fans like Sharon, who believe the band’s energy and music will create an unforgettable experience. Louis Denham, a radio presenter with a deep connection to Oasis, resonates with the sentiment shared by many 90s kids eagerly awaiting the reunion. For Louis, Oasis’s music holds sentimental value, evoking memories of bonding with his father over chords to ‘Wonderwall’. The possibility of a concert in the UAE adds another layer of excitement for Louis and other fans.

Sharon also reminisced about the impact of Oasis’s music on her youth, noting the raw and rebellious energy that infused their lyrics. The band’s songs, such as ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’, evoke memories of youthful rebellion and carefree moments shared with friends. Meanwhile, Mohammed Khalifa, who initially had reservations about the reunion, found joy in the band’s reconciliation. He discovered Oasis through a TV show in 2004 and acknowledged their ability to resonate with audiences across generations and cultures.

Redha Rubaie, a 27-year-old fan from England, highlighted the communal experience of listening to Oasis in pubs and nightclubs while growing up in the north of England. The band’s music is closely tied to memories of good times spent with friends, creating a sense of nostalgia for many fans. Redha and others hope for a concert in the UAE, anticipating a fantastic atmosphere filled with supporters of Oasis’s music. The possibility of seeing the band live in Dubai or Abu Dhabi excites fans, who are willing to travel back to the UK if needed to witness the reunion tour.
