Dubai’s multiculturalism serves as a meeting point for people from diverse backgrounds, as seen in the story of Marco and Yolanda Mariotti. They met while working on a construction project for a superyacht in Dubai, eventually building a personal and professional relationship that led to marriage. Together, they founded Swissly, a company providing high-quality construction services for residential and commercial projects in Dubai.

Marco, with a background in skilled craftsmanship from Switzerland and Italy, credits his wife Yolanda as his greatest mentor. Yolanda, influenced by her uncle, a prominent botanist and humanitarian, transitioned from a career in law enforcement in South Africa to finding success in the yachting industry in France and the UAE. Her linguistic abilities in multiple languages have been instrumental in her international ventures.

The couple’s commitment to life-long learning and dedication to excellence have been key factors in their business success. They attribute much of their achievements to the opportunities provided by the UAE, particularly Dubai’s business-friendly environment and focus on innovation. They believe that the country offers a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurs to grow and realize their dreams, highlighting the roles played by networking platforms and business councils in their journey.

Yolanda emphasizes the importance of the UAE’s progressive policies and supportive infrastructure in enabling their business to thrive. The couple views Dubai as a place of abundant opportunities where forward-thinking and continuous improvement are encouraged, aligning with their own values of excellence and innovation. Their story serves as an inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to establish themselves in Dubai’s dynamic business landscape.
