Omani businessmen and their Azerbaijani counterparts are looking to increase cooperation in economic, commerce, and investment fields. The second Azerbaijan-GCC Economic Forum held in Baku provided a platform for discussions on investment opportunities and potential partnerships in various sectors such as renewable energy, transport, logistics services, agriculture, and food industries. Both sides explored the business environment, procedures, incentives, and facilities available for investors, especially in economic zones, free zones, industrial cities, and ports.

Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), emphasized the importance of such meetings in familiarizing Omani businessmen with the necessary information, procedures, laws, regulations, and support services for those interested in entering international markets like Azerbaijan. He acknowledged that the economic relations between Oman and Azerbaijan have room for growth and mentioned an upcoming visit by a trade delegation from Azerbaijan to explore business opportunities in Oman.

Rashid bin Amer Al Maslahi, First Deputy to the Chairman of OCCI, highlighted the value of these meetings in providing insights into the promising opportunities in each country. He expressed hope that such interactions would lead to partnerships between the private sectors of Oman and Azerbaijan. This collaboration is seen as a way to boost economic ties and create new avenues for cooperation and prosperity.

The discussions at the Azerbaijan-GCC Economic Forum focused on exploring potential areas of cooperation and partnership between Oman and Azerbaijan. Participants exchanged ideas on how to leverage investment opportunities and tap into the growing sectors of renewable energy, transport, logistics services, agriculture, and food industries. The emphasis was on creating a conducive business environment and providing support for investors looking to expand their presence in these sectors.

Both countries aim to strengthen their economic relations and foster closer ties through enhanced cooperation in various fields. The engagement between Omani businessmen and Azerbaijani counterparts is viewed as a stepping stone towards broader collaboration and joint ventures.
