The highly anticipated Qatar Prix du Jockey Club is set to take place at the historic racecourse of Chantilly, sponsored by the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC). This prestigious 2,100m Group 1 race for three-year-olds is known as the French Derby and is a key event in the French racing calendar, attracting the best three-year-olds in Europe. Former winners of this race have gone on to become stallions of international renown, making it a significant competition for the racing industry.

15 colts will compete in this year’s Qatar Prix du Jockey Club, with notable contenders including Wahdan, Grecian Storm, and Arrow Eagle. The competition is fierce as these talented horses vie for the coveted title and a lucrative €1,500,000 purse, with €857,000 going to the winner. Trained by top trainers like Jean-Claude Rouget, David Menuisier, and Henri-Alex Pantall, these horses are well-prepared to give their best performance on the racetrack.

Last year’s winner of the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club, Ace Impact, went on to achieve further success by winning the prestigious Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. This solidified the race’s reputation as a “stallion-making race”, where future breeding champions are born. The Qatar Prix du Jockey Club is considered the richest race in France after the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, further highlighting its significance in the world of horse racing.

With the support of the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club continues to attract top talent and maintain its reputation as a premier racing event in Europe. From the stunning racecourse of Chantilly to the impressive list of runners and top trainers, this race promises an exciting and competitive spectacle for horse racing enthusiasts worldwide. Stay tuned as these three-year-olds battle it out for glory and the chance to make history in the illustrious Qatar Prix du Jockey Club.
