Jamie Lee Curtis recently shared an update about her upcoming comedy film, Freakier Friday, where she will reunite with Lindsay Lohan. In the movie, Curtis will play Tess Coleman, while Lohan will portray her daughter, Anna Coleman. The actress revealed that Manny Jacinto will play Lohan’s on-screen husband, although the details about his role remain a mystery as the movie is still in production. Lohan described Jacinto as lovely and funny, hinting at a promising on-screen dynamic.

Fans of the original film were delighted to hear that Chad Michael Murray will reprise his role as Jake, reuniting with Lohan’s character 20 years after the initial movie. Apart from Lohan, Curtis, and Murray, other original cast members, including Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao, will also make a return in the sequel. Additionally, new faces like Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan will join the ensemble.

The sequel to Freaky Friday picks up years after Tess and Anna switched bodies, showing how their lives have changed. Anna now has a child and is about to become a stepmother, adding new layers to the family dynamic. As Tess and Anna navigate the challenges that arise from blending two families, they realize that lightning can indeed strike twice. The film’s synopsis promises a heartwarming and comedic exploration of family relationships and personal growth.

Scheduled for release next year, the anticipation for Freakier Friday is building as fans of the original film look forward to revisiting beloved characters and experiencing new adventures. With an ensemble cast that balances familiar faces with fresh talent, the sequel promises to capture the essence of its predecessor while delivering a refreshing take on the story. Stay tuned for more updates on the film’s release and additional details as production continues.
