The Sony WH-ULT900 N ULT Wear headphones are perfect for those who love techno, trance, metal, hip-hop, rap, and pop music. These headphones are specifically designed for power, boasting a thumping bass experience that will delight fans of these genres. The headphones feature a combination of Sony’s Integrated Processor V1 and 40mm driver units, delivering a bold and booming sound quality.

In terms of build quality, the ULT Wear headphones sport the familiar Sony family looks, similar to its more expensive sibling, the WH-1000XM5. The headband is soft and adjustable, the earcups are snug and soft, and overall, the build quality is commendable with no room for complaints. The headphones feature touch and tap controls for easy access to volume, play/pause, and noise cancellation settings.

Comfort is key with the ULT Wear headphones, despite their slightly larger size. The soft and padded earpads, along with a balanced design, ensure a fatigue-free listening experience. The headphones are designed for extended use, with Sony claiming around 50 hours of playback with noise cancellation off and 30 hours with it on. In real-world use, users can expect close to the 30-hour mark on a full charge.

The noise-canceling feature of the ULT Wear headphones is effective, adapting to ambient noise levels to provide an immersive listening experience. Features like Sony’s 360 Reality spatial sound, support for voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, and excellent call quality make these headphones versatile and user-friendly. However, the dominance of bass may not be suitable for all music genres, with some users feeling that the emphasis on bass can overshadow mid-range details.

Overall, the Sony WH-ULT900 N ULT Wear headphones offer great value for money, especially for those who enjoy genres that benefit from a strong bass presence. While the overwhelming bass may not suit every listener’s preferences, the feature-rich design, long battery life, and comfortable fit make these headphones a solid choice for fans of techno, trance, metal, hip-hop, rap, and pop music. Priced at Dh799, these headphones are rated 4 stars for their performance and features.
