Indian actors celebrate Payal Kapadia’s victory at Cannes 2024 – News

India marked a memorable moment at the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival with filmmaker Payal Kapadia creating history by winning the Grand Prix Award for her film All We Imagine As Light. Premiering in the prestigious ‘competition section’ on May 23, the film became the first Indian movie to feature in the main segment of the festival in 30 years, following Shaji N Karun’s Swaham in 1994.
