Exciting news for Hunger Games fans as a new book titled Sunrise on the Reaping is set to be released in 2025. Fans can expect the novel to be written by the original Hunger Games author, Suzanne Collins. The book will later be adapted into a movie, with a planned release date of 2026, according to Variety. This announcement comes after the success of the Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which was released in November of last year.

Lionsgate, the studio behind the Hunger Games franchise, has expressed interest in expanding the series even further. Adam Fogelson, chairman of the studio’s motion picture group, stated that the prequel opened up a multitude of possibilities for future storytelling. With the success of the previous installments, Lionsgate is eager to continue working with Suzanne Collins to bring more stories from the world of Panem to life on the big screen.

Francis Lawrence, who directed three of the four Hunger Games films, is reportedly in talks to direct the upcoming movie adaptation of Sunrise on the Reaping. Lawrence’s previous work on the franchise has been well received by fans and critics alike, making him a solid choice to bring Collins’ new book to life in a visually captivating way. The movie will be set in the fictional world of Panem, 24 years before the events of the Hunger Games saga and 40 years after The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

With the anticipation building for the release of Sunrise on the Reaping, Hunger Games fans can look forward to diving back into the dystopian world created by Suzanne Collins. The success of the franchise has shown that there is a hunger for more stories set in the world of Panem, and with the talented team behind the upcoming movie adaptation, fans can expect an exciting and immersive experience. Stay tuned for more updates on the release of Sunrise on the Reaping and the future of the Hunger Games franchise.
