England’s pace bowler Jofra Archer is set to make a comeback after a long injury lay-off, and his teammates are excited to have him back in the squad. Archer has been dealing with back and elbow issues and has not played for England for 14 months. Despite this, he is part of the squad for the upcoming T20 series against Pakistan and the T20 World Cup. The 29-year-old has been working on his fitness by playing club cricket in Barbados and recently took a wicket for Sussex’s second XI.

Teammate Sam Curran expressed his excitement about Archer’s return, highlighting the quality and fear factor he brings to the team. As reigning T20 world champions, England are looking to find form ahead of the tournament in the West Indies and the United States. Curran, who returned early from the Indian Premier League along with seven other squad members, emphasized the importance of playing as a team and getting used to their roles.

The squad is focused on regaining their energy and enthusiasm for the game, with the goal of bringing the trophy back home. The team’s captain, Jos Buttler, and the coaching staff have stressed the need for the players to come together and build chemistry before the T20 series. The first match of the series against Pakistan will take place at Headingley on Wednesday, providing an opportunity for the team to showcase their skills and prepare for the T20 World Cup.

Archer’s return to the squad brings added pace and capability to England’s bowling attack, with his ability to intimidate opposition batsmen. The team is hopeful that Archer’s injury troubles are behind him and that he can showcase the A-game he is known for. With the World Cup on the horizon, England is looking to build momentum and confidence through strong performances in the upcoming matches. The players are determined to work together as a cohesive unit and fulfill their potential on the international stage.

Having faced setbacks and challenges in recent years, Archer’s comeback is a welcome boost for the England team as they aim to defend their T20 World Cup title. The players are eager to prove themselves and show that they are capable of competing at the highest level. As the squad prepares to take on Pakistan, the focus is on teamwork, strategy, and execution. With Archer leading the pace attack, England is confident in their ability to deliver strong performances and make an impact in the upcoming matches.
