The Second Deputy Speaker of the Bahrain Shura Council, Her Excellency Dr Jehad Al-Fadhel, recently emphasized the leadership’s strong support for the youth in both Bahrain and the UAE. She believes that creating a nurturing environment is crucial for harnessing the energy and creativity of the youth, which is vital for the nation’s prosperity. The Shura Council is dedicated to creating laws that encourage young people to take on more responsibility and play a significant role in shaping the country’s future.

Dr Al-Fadhel highlighted the Council’s role in supporting the ambitions of the “Young Parliamentarians” program, which aims to prepare young individuals for future leadership roles. Through simulation sessions, the youth are provided with a hands-on experience of parliamentary procedures, helping them develop the necessary skills for effective governance. The visit of the Emirati youth delegation to the Shura Council promoted an exchange of knowledge and expertise, fostering a sense of loyalty and readiness to contribute to national development.

During the event, distinguished figures such as Dr Jamila Al-Salman and Dr Bassam Al-Binmohamed, members of the Shura Council, were present. The session also included the participation of the inaugural graduates of the “Young Parliamentarians” program, a collaborative effort between the National Emirati Foundation and the Federal Youth Authority. These graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in parliamentary excellence and lead their nations towards a brighter future.

The youth are recognized as the main drivers of sustainable growth and are essential for building a resilient future. Dr Al-Fadhel stressed the importance of empowering young people to take on leadership roles and actively participate in shaping the country’s direction. The Council’s support for the youth in their legislative and democratic endeavors creates an environment where their ideas and initiatives can thrive, paving the way for a more inclusive and dynamic society.

The exchange of insights and expertise between Bahrain and the UAE through the visit of the Emirati youth delegation signifies a commitment to nurturing young talents and promoting national advancement. By providing young individuals with opportunities to learn and grow, the “Young Parliamentarians” program is preparing a new generation of leaders who are aware of their capabilities and are eager to contribute positively to their communities. The collaboration between various organizations and institutions underscores the importance of investing in the youth and empowering them to become active participants in shaping the future of their nations.
