Saif Hassan Ibrahim Karam, a Grade 11 student from the Sharjah Model School, achieved an impressive feat at the International Science and Engineering Fair (Isef) by winning third place in the chemistry category. The competition, which featured over 2,000 participants from 70 countries, is considered the world’s largest pre-college STEM competition. Saif’s project focused on developing a chemical compound that could absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and convert it into clean fuel, earning him recognition at the national level as well.
