Eid in the UAE: Important timing changes and services to know for the long weekend

As the UAE prepares to celebrate Eid Al Adha from June 15 to 18, many offices will be closed, but essential service centers will remain open with adjusted timings. Public transport and leisure spots will also have revised operating hours to accommodate the influx of visitors during the holiday period. It is important to stay updated with the latest news by following KT on WhatsApp Channels.

For those planning to go out during the long weekend, it is essential to be aware of key timing changes. Visa service centers in Dubai, which include application, renewals, and extensions, encourage online transactions through the Dubai Now app or GDRFA website. However, GDRFA centers at DXB and Al Aweer Customer Happiness Centre will remain open during the holiday period.

If you are looking to visit public parks in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Sharjah, here are the timings to keep in mind. Various parks in Dubai have different operating hours, while Abu Dhabi City’s public parks and Al Ain City’s parks will be open till late. Sharjah National Park and Rolla Park will have specific timings, along with neighborhood parks within the emirate.

Vehicle inspection centers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ajman will have adjusted schedules during the holidays. RTA service providers in Dubai will resume technical testing services on June 18, while Adnoc Vehicle Inspection Centers in Abu Dhabi will have limited operating hours during the Eid period. Ajman Transport Authority offices will also be closed on specific dates, with vehicle inspection services available on other days.

For those using public transport, it is crucial to be aware of the timings for Metro, Tram, and bus services in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah. RTA bus routes and timings will also be adjusted during the Eid Al Adha holidays to accommodate the increased demand for transportation services. Sharjah buses will run on specific routes with shorter intervals between trips, while intercity buses in Ras Al Khaimah will also have adjusted schedules. Ajman bus services will have specific timings for riders within the emirate.
