Qatar coach Marquez Lopez has called up experienced winger Edmilson Junior and young starlet Ahmed Al Rawi to strengthen the national squad ahead of their World Cup qualifying tie against North Korea. Edmilson Junior, who plays for Al Duhail, has never represented Qatar before but has been a standout player in the domestic league since joining in 2018. The son of former Brazilian footballer Edmilson, he became eligible for the national team after being naturalized in Qatar six years ago. On the other hand, Al Rawi has already made five appearances for Qatar and has also played for their junior teams. The 20-year-old is the younger brother of defender Bassam, who is also in the current Qatar squad.

Despite suffering a 3-1 defeat to the United Arab Emirates in their first Group A match, the Qatari team is determined to bounce back in their upcoming game against North Korea. The loss has put them at the bottom of the six-nation group, but coach Lopez is confident that his players will make a comeback in Tuesday’s match. With nine matches still to play in the qualifying round, the team remains optimistic about their chances of securing a spot in the World Cup. Lopez has expressed his belief in the team’s ability to perform better against North Korea and is aiming for a crucial three points in the upcoming game.

The upcoming match against North Korea will be crucial for both teams as they look to secure direct qualification for the World Cup. North Korea, who were defeated 1-0 by Uzbekistan in their first match, will be looking to bounce back against Qatar. With only the top two teams from the group earning direct qualification, both Qatar and North Korea will be aiming to secure maximum points in the upcoming game. Qatar will be hoping that the addition of Edmilson Junior and Al Rawi to the squad will provide them with the strength and depth needed to secure a victory against North Korea.

The addition of Edmilson Junior and Al Rawi to the Qatar national team brings a mix of experience and youth to the squad. While Edmilson Junior brings a wealth of experience from his time with Al Duhail and his impressive goal-scoring record in the domestic league, Al Rawi represents the young talent that Qatar is looking to develop for the future. The presence of both players in the squad is expected to provide the team with a boost ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifying match against North Korea. With the top two teams from the group securing direct qualification, Qatar will be looking to put their best foot forward in the upcoming game.

Coach Marquez Lopez is focused on preparing his team for the upcoming challenge against North Korea, emphasizing the importance of learning from their mistakes in the previous match and putting in a strong performance on the field. The team is determined to make a strong comeback and secure three points in the upcoming game to boost their chances of qualifying for the World Cup. With the support of the experienced players like Edmilson Junior and the younger talents like Al Rawi, Qatar will be looking to showcase their strength and determination in the upcoming World Cup qualifying match. As they strive to secure a spot in the World Cup, Qatar will be aiming for a successful campaign in the qualifying round, starting with a crucial match against North Korea.
