The Education Above All Foundation (EAA) successfully hosted the iEARN-Qatar Open House 2024 in Doha, Qatar, showcasing projects from students in the country. The event celebrated educational achievements and innovations from the 2023-2024 school year, highlighting the power of project-based learning and intercultural exchange through the International Education and Resource Network (iEARN). The ROTA Programme aims to create a conducive environment for educators and facilitators through digital platforms in both Arabic and English, enabling a larger scale of student engagement in iEARN projects.

The iEARN Open House also marked the formal inauguration of the EAA iEARN online training initiative, a significant step forward in providing accessible and high-quality education. Recognized for its effectiveness, iEARN was selected as one of the School Models of the Future by the World Economic Forum in 2020. The Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education signed an agreement with EAA to extend the iEARN programme to all schools in Qatar, further solidifying its impact on education in the country.

Since its establishment in 2008, iEARN-Qatar has trained over 3,000 teachers from 110 government and private schools, enabling 16,000 students to complete curriculum-based projects. Feedback from the latest iEARN Open House was positive, reflecting the program’s success in fostering both academic skills and personal growth among students. The event emphasized the importance of project-based learning and intercultural exchange in enhancing educational outcomes and creating a positive impact in communities around the world.

Executive Director of the ROTA Programme, Abdulla Al-Abdulla, highlighted the strategic approach of the digital platforms for teacher training, emphasizing the importance of creating a supportive environment for educators and facilitators. The iEARN programme aims to empower students to make a positive impact in their communities through engaging projects, promoting collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. The success of the training programs and projects in Qatar has gained recognition internationally, further validating the impact of iEARN on education.
