Dubai has launched a new air quality monitoring station at Jebel Ali equipped with 11 sensors capable of measuring 101 types of air pollutants. This Dh2-million facility is the first fixed air quality monitoring station built by the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, in line with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033. The initiative is part of efforts led by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to improve the overall quality of life in Dubai.

The CEO of PCFC, Nasser Al Neyadi, emphasized the corporation’s commitment to enhancing quality of life and environmental sustainability through this initiative. The choice of Jebel Ali as the location for the station aims to improve air quality across Dubai, especially in areas under the corporation’s supervision. The station features an advanced design with a steel frame, insulated panels, and the latest devices for constant air pollutant analysis.

Abdulla Belhoul, CEO of Trakhees, highlighted that the station is equipped with advanced data collection and transmission systems that connect to a central office for data processing and report generation. This move aligns with Dubai’s efforts to achieve environmental sustainability and provide a healthy and sustainable environment for residents and expatriates. The station’s purpose is to ensure a clean and healthy business environment through continuous monitoring and assessment of air quality.

By launching this air quality monitoring station in Jebel Ali, Dubai is taking a significant step towards improving environmental sustainability and ensuring a healthy living environment for its residents. The initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance the overall quality of life in Dubai and aligns with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033. With the latest devices and advanced design, the station will play a crucial role in monitoring and assessing air pollutants to maintain a clean and healthy business environment in the region.

This new air quality monitoring station in Jebel Ali underscores the essential role of the environment in Dubai’s future development strategies. The station’s location and advanced technology will help in improving air quality across the city and ensuring a sustainable and healthy environment for both residents and expatriates. By focusing on environmental sustainability and quality of life, Dubai is setting a positive example for other cities to follow in promoting a cleaner and healthier living environment for all.
