Big 5 Global, the largest construction industry event in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA), is set to return for its 45th edition from November 26 to 29 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event will bring together industry professionals across urban development, construction, geospatial, and facilities management, hosting over 100,000 attendees from more than 165 countries, with more than 2,700 exhibitors and 300 speakers. The aim of the event is to provide a platform for industry professionals to discuss challenges, opportunities, and advancements in the construction industry and facilitate collaboration among key stakeholders.

According to the World Bank’s projections, by 2080, 80% of the world’s population will reside in cities, with a significant portion of this growth expected in the MEASA region. As urbanization continues to accelerate, the need for construction and infrastructure is on the rise. The events at Big 5 Global offer industry professionals a unique opportunity to gain insights, network with industry leaders, and discover new solutions and innovations. This year’s event is expected to showcase the region’s expanding opportunities and strengthen its role as a leading meeting point for the industry.

Big 5 Global is supported by the UAE’s Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure for the third consecutive year, highlighting the importance of industry collaboration and advancement. This collaboration further reinforces the UAE’s role as a global leader in urban development and construction. In addition to the main event, Big 5 Global will be accompanied by five specialized events covering the entire construction value chain, including Heavy, Totally Concrete, HVAC R Expo, Marble & Stone World, and Urban Design & Landscape.

LiveableCitiesX, Future FM, and GeoWorld are new events running alongside Big 5 Global this year. LiveableCitiesX focuses on city-making challenges and aims to create sustainable, resilient, and liveable cities for the future. GeoWorld highlights the role of geospatial technologies and intelligence in transforming industries globally. Future FM addresses the transformative shift within the facilities management industry and serves as a hub for FM professionals. These events bring together experts from around the world to address intertwined challenges and opportunities in the urban development and construction sectors.

Josine Heijmans, senior vice president – construction at dmg events, emphasized the importance of these events in shaping the future of cities. With stakeholders from vision to commissioning all in one place, industry professionals have a unique opportunity to collaborate, network, and stay ahead in the industry. The events aim to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and address the key challenges and opportunities in the construction industry. Overall, Big 5 Global and its accompanying events offer a comprehensive platform for industry professionals to exchange knowledge, build partnerships, and explore the latest innovations in the construction sector.
