Anirban Lahiri, based in Dubai, finished as the runner-up in both the Individual and Team Event at LIV Golf Andalucia, held at Real Club Valderrama in Spain. In a thrilling final day, Sergio Garcia and his Fireballs GC team emerged victorious in a double play-off to claim the $25 million prize. Going into the last day, Lahiri and his Crushers GC team seemed poised for a win, but things took a different turn on the challenging golf course.

Lahiri started the final round with a four-shot lead, and as the game progressed, he found himself with a one-shot lead on the 18th tee, needing a par four on the toughest hole on the course to secure victory. However, a missed putt on the 18th hole led to a double playoff, which resulted in Garcia winning the individual title on the second playoff hole. Despite the disappointment, the Crushers team remains a strong contender in the season-long points standings.

The loss was described as disappointing by Bryson DeChambeau, who expressed empathy for Lahiri. The individual title eventually went to Garcia, who ended a four-year winless drought with his 37th professional title. Valderrama once again proved to be a challenging venue with only nine players breaking par over the 54 holes. In the team standings, the Crushers maintain their lead, followed by Legion XIII and Torque CG.

The LIV Golf season continues with the next event scheduled at JCB Golf and Country Club in the United Kingdom. The event is set to take place on 26th-28th July 2024. In terms of individual standings, Garcia moves up to third, while Lahiri climbs to 16th. Joaquin Niemann and Jon Rahm lead the standings, with Rahm still in search of his first individual victory. The competition promises to be intense as the season progresses.

The results of the LIV Golf Andalucia event saw Garcia and Lahiri tied for the individual title, with both players finishing on 208 strokes. The team event saw Fireballs GC and Crushers GC tied at -5, with Fireballs emerging as the victors after a closer look at the final round scores. The intense competition and high level of play showcased the talent and skill of the participants in this prestigious golf tournament, setting the stage for further excitement in the season to come.
