Doha to Host 3×3 Basketball Camp for Teams from Saudi Arabia

The collaboration between the Qatari and Saudi Basketball Federations is set to strengthen sports ties between the two nations as Doha hosts the Saudi Basketball Team 3×3 camp for men and women under 23 years of age. This camp serves as a continuation of the preparatory camp in anticipation of the Asian qualifiers for the Nations Championship. The Saudi national team, which recently held an internal camp in Dammam, is gearing up for the Asian qualifiers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The men’s team comprises of talented players such as Muhammad Al Khater, Saad Al Subaie, and Rayan Al Ahmad, while the women’s team includes promising players like Jana Balghaith and Noura Al Nuwaisir.

The administrative supervision of the team is under Saeed Al Faraj and Khadija Saad, with French coach Kevin Cor leading the technical leadership, supported by Saudi coaches and support staff. The collaboration between the Qatari and Saudi Basketball Federations provides an opportunity for both nations to share knowledge and successful practices in advancing the sport. Conducting the training camp in Doha allows the Saudi national team to utilize top-notch sports facilities and prepare thoroughly for their participation in the Asian qualifiers, enhancing their chances of success in the upcoming Nations Championship.

The seventh edition of the FIBA 3×3 Nations League for women and men under 23 years old is set to take place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from September 11 to 15. Qualifiers for each continent will be held in various locations between June and August, including France, Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur, and Kampala. The Mongolian women’s and men’s national teams have guaranteed participation as the host country, alongside the Netherlands women’s national team as champions of the last edition, and the American men’s national team.
