The Supreme Organising Committee, led by Brigadier General Mohammed bin Zayed Al Otaibi, Chairman of the Qatar Air Sports Committee and Commander of the Joint Special Forces, has completed all necessary arrangements for the championship. The committee has mobilised its personnel and expertise to ensure the event is held at a level befitting Qatar’s status as a major sports hub. According to Brigadier General Al Otaibi, the committee is confident in its organisational capabilities and has made all necessary preparations to host a successful event.
CISM World Parachuting Championship Preparations
Captain Hazza Hamad Al Attiyah, Secretary-General of the Qatar Air Sports Committee, confirmed that the committee is ready to organise the CISM 2025 championship, considering it an organisational and celebratory challenge. The participating delegations have begun arriving in Doha, with the arrival expected to be completed soon in preparation for the championship.
The first events of the championship will commence on Friday with a technical meeting at Umm Shakhout Airport, where technical, organisational, and refereeing matters will be discussed. Official training for the participating teams will also begin, according to programmes that include several jumps for all teams of both genders.
Competition Events
The three main competitions at the CISM World Parachuting Championship are the four-way formation competition, the style competition, and the target landing competition. The four-way formation competition involves teams of four jumpers forming specific formations in the air. The style competition requires jumpers to perform a series of aerobatic manoeuvres, with the accuracy and precision of their movements being judged. The target landing competition involves jumpers attempting to land as close as possible to a designated target.
The Qatari national team participating in the target competition is undergoing intense training in preparation for the championship. The team is training daily, with high morale, focus, and discipline, especially since the tournament is being held on home ground and in front of their fans.
Implications of the CISM World Parachuting Championship
The CISM World Parachuting Championship is expected to showcase Qatar’s capabilities in hosting major international events. The event will also provide an opportunity for the participating countries to demonstrate their military parachuting skills and compete at a high level. As the championship progresses, the results are expected to be closely watched by sports enthusiasts and military personnel alike.
As the event approaches, the organisers are confident that the championship will be a success, with all necessary preparations in place. The outcome of the championship will depend on the performance of the participating teams, and the next few days will be crucial in determining the winners.
