Doha Falcons clinch exciting GCL win

The Doha Falcons emerged victorious in the Global Champions League (GCL) held in Paris, Qatar, by leading from start to finish. The team comprised of Julien Anquetin, Jerome Guery, and Michael Pender, who put on a stellar performance with their horses. With Jerome riding Careca LS Elite and Great Britain V, Julien on Z Ice Cube Z, and Michael on HHS Calais, the team clinched the pole position and maintained their lead throughout the competition.

The competition at the Paris leg of the GCL was intense, with several top teams vying for the top spot. However, it was the Doha Falcons who stole the show with their commanding performance. Stockholm Hearts, led by Nicola and Olivier, secured the second place with their talented duo of Katanga v/h Dingeshof and H&M Legend of Love. Cannes Stars, powered by Iron Dames, stood on the podium in third place, with Sophie Hinners on Special Life and Katrin Eckermann with a double clear aboard Cala Mandia NRW.

This victory marks the Doha Falcons’ first win since the GCL Samorin in 2021, showcasing their determination and skill in the competitive world of show jumping. Speaking after the win, Michael Pender expressed his joy at the team’s success and highlighted the strong bond among the riders.
