Khasab, located in the Musandam Governorate, is currently experiencing significant development and construction. Infrastructure and tourism projects are being expanded to attract more tourists from around the world and to encourage local and foreign investments. The Governor of Musandam, Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said Al Busaidi, stated that the governorate is undergoing development in various areas, including residential areas and city centers. The government has allocated around OMR20 million for development programs during the current Five-Year Development Plan.

In terms of specific projects, the completion percentage of the Dibba Port Development Project is at 75 percent, with expectations for structural works to be completed by the first half of the following year. The Dibba-Lima-Khasab Road is progressing rapidly, with initial road works exceeding 55 kilometers in length. This road is expected to facilitate traffic between the various wilayats of Musandam and contribute to tourism movements in the region. Additionally, plans for a new airport in Khasab are underway, with tenders issued for soil studies and consultancy studies for the design.

The Khasab Port is also undergoing development, with a management company investing in the facilities and conducting feasibility studies. There are also numerous investment opportunities available in the wilayats of Bakha, Madha, and Dibba. On the healthcare front, Khasab and Madha hospitals are currently undergoing internal preliminary works and are expected to open and offer their services within the current five-year plan.

Overall, the developments in Khasab are expected to boost tourism, attract investments, and improve infrastructure in the region. The ongoing projects, such as the Dibba Port and road works, as well as plans for a new airport and hospital improvements, highlight the commitment to growth and progress in Musandam Governorate. The strategic location of Khasab, situated on the Strait of Hormuz, makes it a key hub for tourism and investment opportunities, further solidifying its importance in the region. With continued development and investments, Khasab is poised for further growth and prosperity in the coming years.
