Fans of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Online are clamoring for Michael De Santa, one of GTA 5’s protagonists, to receive his own DLC in the game’s online universe. Excitement is building among players for a potential Michael update, and the actor behind the character, Ned Luke, has joined in the discussion. Despite the growing anticipation, it remains uncertain whether this wish will come true.

GTA Online has already included content featuring Trevor and Franklin, two of GTA 5’s protagonists, with mixed reactions to the Dr. Dre DLC and a warm welcome for Franklin’s return. However, Michael’s absence from the online world has been a point of contention among fans eager for his inclusion. The ongoing discussions and requests from fans have reignited buzz around the character.

The recent announcement of the Bottom Dollar Bounties DLC, which brings back Maude from the game’s main story, sparked renewed interest in the potential return of Michael. Fans have been expressing their disappointment that almost every story mode character has made a comeback except Michael, leading to humorous suggestions that Ned Luke should demand to be included in new DLC recording sessions. Luke’s response to these suggestions further fueled speculation among fans.

While Luke’s engagement with fans and his teasing remarks have stirred excitement and led some to believe that a Michael update could be in the works, many are cautious and acknowledge that his comments may simply be his way of interacting with the fanbase. Given the strict non-disclosure agreements in the gaming industry, any potential return of Luke to the franchise would likely be kept under wraps until an official announcement is made.

Luke’s regular interactions with the GTA community, including playing the game on streams and participating in fan videos, indicate his willingness to reprise his role as Michael if the opportunity arises. However, any plans from Rockstar Games, the developer behind GTA, would be shrouded in secrecy until they are ready for public disclosure. Fans will have to wait for an official announcement to know for sure if a Michael DLC is in the works.
