Saudi Arabia’s Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with India’s Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRAI) to foster cooperation in the regulatory and digital sectors. The signing of the agreement took place during the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) in New Delhi, in the presence of India’s Minister of State for Communications, Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani.

The MoU aims to focus on areas such as regulatory technology (RegTech) applications and joint studies on infrastructure and digital regulation principles. The collaboration also includes exchanging information and knowledge within the ICT sector, benefiting from training programs offered by the Digital Regulations Academy (DRA).

The agreement between CST and TRAI is aimed at strengthening their strategic partnership and enhancing cooperation in communications, space, and technology. This partnership will promote opportunities for mutual growth and support shared interests between Saudi Arabia and India in the digital sector.

The signing of the MoU signifies a significant step towards enhancing bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and India in the field of communications, space, and technology. Both parties are looking forward to leveraging each other’s expertise and resources to drive innovation and growth in the regulatory and digital sectors.

The collaboration between CST and TRAI will also open up opportunities for joint projects and initiatives that will benefit both countries and drive technological advancements in the region. By exchanging knowledge and information, Saudi Arabia and India can work together to address common challenges and drive progress in the digital economy.

Overall, the signing of the MoU between CST and TRAI marks a positive development in the relationship between Saudi Arabia and India. This partnership will not only enhance cooperation in the regulatory and digital sectors but also promote mutual growth and support shared interests between the two countries in the communications, space, and technology fields.
