The conference concluded with the adoption of the Doha Declaration 2025, a framework for international cooperation focused on leveraging technology to address increasingly sophisticated corrupt practices. This declaration signals a shift towards proactive, tech-driven solutions in the ongoing fight against illicit financial flows and abuse of power.
The COSP11, held in Doha, Qatar, from November 6-10, 2023, brought together representatives from over 150 countries to discuss and refine strategies for preventing and punishing corruption. The adoption of the Doha Declaration represents a consensus on the need to adapt to new challenges posed by digital advancements, which are simultaneously enabling corruption and offering tools to counter it.
