Civil Defense conducts graduation for basic and specialized courses

The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Doha, Qatar recently celebrated the graduation of various foundational and specialized courses that were conducted throughout 2024. The ceremony took place at the Officers’ Club and was attended by Assistant Director General of Civil Defense Colonel Mohamed Ahmed Al Marafi, along with other department directors, officers, and representatives from entities that played a role in the success of the courses. These courses included training for civil defense trainers, a breathing apparatus course, a car accident rescue course, courses on driving and operating civil defense vehicles, a basic civil defense course, and more.

The head of the training and development department at the General Directorate of Civil Defense, Major Al Humaidi Rashid Al Marri, highlighted the importance of organizing these courses. He emphasized that it is essential to qualify and train civil defense personnel on the necessary skills to handle various situations effectively. The training provided helps individuals within the civil defense sector to deal with reports and emergencies, ultimately preserving lives and properties. During the event, a visual presentation showcased the various stages of training that participants went through during the courses. These included the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior, Qatar Police Sports Federation, Ras Laffan Emergency and Safety College, Police Officers Institute, Police Training Institute, and the Medical Services Department.
