English defender Chris Smalling recently made his debut for Al-Fayha in the Saudi Pro League, but it was a disappointing start for him and his team. In his first match, Al-Fayha suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat against Al-Raed. To add insult to injury, Smalling accidentally scored an own goal and also received a red card in the 55th minute after a review by the Video Assistant Referee.

Despite the setbacks in his debut match, Smalling, who joined Al-Fayha from AS Roma in the final days of the summer transfer window, will be looking to bounce back and make a better impression in future games. He will have to wait for his return from suspension after his red card, but he will be eager to show his capabilities and help his team improve their performance in the league.

Smalling’s move to Al-Fayha came as a surprise to many, as he had been playing in top European leagues for most of his career. The English defender previously played for Manchester United before joining AS Roma on loan in 2019, where he impressed with his performances. His move to the Saudi Pro League signifies a new challenge for Smalling, and he will be looking to adapt quickly and make an impact for his new team.

The 31-year-old defender brings a wealth of experience to Al-Fayha, having played at the highest level in European football. Smalling’s defensive qualities and leadership skills will be crucial for his new team as they aim to climb up the Saudi Pro League standings. Despite the disappointing start, Smalling’s presence in the team could prove to be a valuable asset in their quest for success this season.

As Smalling settles into his new surroundings in Saudi Arabia, he will be focused on integrating himself into the team and building strong relationships with his new teammates. His professionalism and dedication will be key in helping Al-Fayha improve their performances on the field and achieve their goals for the season. With time and hard work, Smalling and his team will be aiming to turn their fortunes around and make a positive impact in the Saudi Pro League.

Overall, despite the challenging start to his Al-Fayha career, Chris Smalling will be determined to overcome the setbacks and prove his worth in the Saudi Pro League. With his experience, skills, and determination, Smalling has the potential to become a key player for his new team and make a significant impact in the league. As he continues to work hard and adapt to his new surroundings, Smalling will be aiming to help Al-Fayha achieve success and establish themselves as a competitive force in the Saudi Pro League.
