To raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness month, Middle East Hospital partnered with various labor unions in Bahrain to organize a breast awareness campaign at Gulf Air premises. The event aimed to educate attendees on early detection, prevention strategies, and available treatments for breast cancer. Renowned consultants and specialists, including Dr. Amer Al Derazi and Dr. Shaista Sariwal, delivered presentations highlighting the importance of early detection in improving survival rates. Additionally, Dr. Haitham Al Rahma conducted on-site body composition analysis and basic health checkups for attendees.

Informational pamphlets were distributed during the event to provide details on breast cancer prevention, support services, and the importance of regular health check-ups. Cancer survivor Ms. Farah Ali shared her inspiring story and emphasized the importance of routine medical check-ups for women. In addition, media personality Ms. Marwa Khalil also participated in the event, contributing to community awareness. Interactive sessions were held to demonstrate proper self-examination techniques and educate attendees on warning signs and risk factors, including family history, lifestyle habits, and environmental influences.

Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a question-and-answer session to address common myths and misconceptions associated with breast cancer, as well as explore screening, diagnosis, and treatment options. The workshop concluded with a commitment from both organizers and attendees to continue raising awareness and supporting breast cancer research and education efforts year-round. By promoting education and early detection, the event aimed to empower individuals to take proactive steps towards maintaining their breast health and seeking necessary medical support when needed.

Throughout the workshop, healthcare professionals stressed the importance of recognizing warning signs and risk factors associated with breast cancer. By providing attendees with the necessary information and resources, the event aimed to equip individuals with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about their health. The collaborative effort between Middle East Hospital and various labor unions underscored the importance of community involvement in promoting breast cancer awareness and supporting those affected by the disease.

By leveraging the expertise of medical professionals and the personal experiences of cancer survivors, the workshop sought to create a supportive and informative environment for attendees. The presence of renowned consultants and specialists added credibility to the event, while the participation of inspirational individuals like Ms. Farah Ali and Ms. Marwa Khalil helped personalize the cause and connect with attendees on a more emotional level. Overall, the breast awareness campaign at Gulf Air premises served as a platform for education, empowerment, and community engagement in the fight against breast cancer.
