Artefactum Gallery in Dubai recently unveiled a unique collection of prehistoric fossils and relics transformed into sculptures, artworks, and jewellery. The highlight of the collection is the skull of a prehistoric ‘sea dragon’ (Mosasaur Prognathodon Sp), which is on sale for $500,000. The gallery offers a glimpse into the world of ancient creatures, including dinosaur skulls, ancient sea creatures, and Nile crocodile artifacts.

The concept behind Artefactum Gallery is inspired by the ‘cabinet de curiosités’ or cabinet of curiosities, where art, science, and wonder converge. Gallery owner Andrey Zaykin aims to provide a unique and immersive experience that celebrates human creativity and the mysteries of the natural world. The gallery is an authorised company specializing in trading, exporting, and importing items governed by the CITES regime and cultural regulations.

Artefactum Gallery’s collection includes a variety of prehistoric artifacts, such as the skull of a ‘sea dragon’ dating back 83 million years, a prehistoric mollusk fossil adorned with a rare organic gemstone cover, and a Nile crocodile throne featuring well-preserved skin texture and formidable claws. The gallery also offers dinosaur teeth, designer taxidermy mounts, unique art made from mammoth ivory, and a decorative collection of entomological specimens.

Zaykin emphasizes that Artefactum Gallery is the first in Dubai to showcase a diverse and unique range of prehistoric objects. The gallery’s establishment and legal operations have been coordinated in collaboration with governmental bodies such as the Department of Economic Development, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, and Dubai Customs. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of prehistoric wonders and explore the beauty of ancient artifacts.

The gallery aims to revolutionize the perception of private collections and transform them into precursors to modern museums. Artefactum Gallery offers a one-of-a-kind experience where visitors can witness the intersection of art, science, and natural history. With a focus on showcasing diverse and unique objects, the gallery invites art enthusiasts, history buffs, and curious minds to delve into the mysteries of the past and immerse themselves in the beauty of prehistoric wonders.

Whether you’re interested in acquiring a rare fossil or simply exploring the gallery’s collection, Artefactum Gallery offers a captivating experience for anyone intrigued by the natural world and the secrets of ancient civilizations. With a commitment to legal compliance and ethical sourcing of artifacts, the gallery provides a responsible platform for showcasing and preserving the treasures of the past. Visit Artefactum Gallery in Dubai to witness the convergence of art, science, and wonder in a collection that spans millions of years of history.
