Electric vehicle (EV) charging has been revolutionized in the UAE thanks to Adnoc Distribution’s innovative technology at its fuel stations. With 90 fast and super-fast EV chargers strategically located across all emirates, EV owners can now charge their vehicles within 15 to 20 minutes, making it as convenient as filling up with petrol. The company aims to expand its EV charging infrastructure to between 150 to 200 units by the end of this year and up to 500 units by 2028.

Adnoc Distribution has introduced a ‘Plug in and Charge’ initiative that streamlines the EV charging process. This initiative, along with other innovative AI-powered solutions like robotic arm fuelling, aims to enhance customer experience and provide personalized service. The ‘Plug in and Charge’ feature allows EV owners to set up their preferences once and simply plug in their vehicle during subsequent visits to start the charging process automatically, making it as easy as charging a smartphone.

The company’s focus is on delivering quality service to its customers, with plans to expand the total network of fuel stations by adding 15 to 20 more stations by the end of the year. This expansion is part of Adnoc Distribution’s commitment to providing convenient and efficient services to communities across the UAE. The company also places importance on upgrading and enhancing non-fuel growth avenues, such as high-capacity car wash tunnels, to further improve customer experience and efficiency.

Adnoc Distribution is working towards transforming its service stations into community hubs and destinations of choice for customers. By adding quick service restaurants (QSRs) and offering an array of services, the company aims to create a welcoming and convenient environment for customers to return to. Additionally, with initiatives like the ‘Plug in and Charge’ feature and the focus on enhancing customer experience, Adnoc Distribution is positioning itself as a leader in the EV charging and fuel service industry in the UAE.
