The Council of Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA) recently met to discuss the progress of the Saudi Vision 2030 in the second quarter of 2024. The three key areas of the vision — a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation — were all highlighted as making significant progress. During the meeting, reports from the Ministry of Economy and Planning and the Strategic Management Office at the CEDA were discussed, analyzing global economic developments and the progress of the Vision 2030 Realization Programs. The National Center for Performance Measurement (ADAA) also presented on the performance of government agencies towards achieving the goals of Vision 2030.

One of the key topics discussed during the meeting was the report of the Ministry of Economy and Planning for September 2024. This report analyzed global economic developments and their impact on both major and emerging economies, as well as their implications for the national economy. The Council also focused on the progress of the Vision 2030 Realization Programs for the second quarter of 2024. The report highlighted key achievements and strategic goals, evaluated initiatives, provided an overview of performance, and outlined future prospects. Another important aspect of the meeting was the presentation by the National Center for Performance Measurement on the performance of government agencies in the second quarter of 2024, focusing on efforts to support and empower these agencies and the results of national strategies.

In addition to these reports, the Council reviewed other topics such as an executive summary of consumer prices and wholesale prices for July 2024, the consumer price index report for July 2024, and an executive summary of foreign trade for June of the same year. These reports provide insight into the economic landscape and performance of the nation, offering a comprehensive overview of various aspects of the economy. The Council’s discussion and decisions during the meeting are crucial for guiding the country towards achieving the goals set out in the Vision 2030 plan.

Overall, the progress made in the second quarter of 2024 towards the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 is commendable. The focus on building a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation is essential for the long-term sustainability and growth of the country. The reports and discussions during the meeting shed light on the efforts being made by government agencies and other stakeholders to achieve these goals. By evaluating performance, setting strategic goals, and outlining future prospects, the Council is playing a significant role in driving progress and ensuring the success of the Vision 2030 plan.

As the Vision 2030 plan continues to unfold, it is essential for all stakeholders to remain committed to its objectives and work towards achieving them. The reports and discussions during the CEDA meeting provide valuable insights into the progress being made and the challenges that lie ahead. By focusing on key areas such as economic development, performance measurement, and strategic goals, the Council is paving the way for a more prosperous and sustainable future for Saudi Arabia. With continued efforts and a focus on collaboration, the country can work towards realizing the vision of a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation by the year 2030.
