Cabinet congratulates His Highness the Amir and the Qatari people on the successful outcome of the constitutional amendments referendum

The Cabinet meeting held in Doha, Qatar, was chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi extended congratulations on the successful referendum on the 2024 draft constitutional amendments. The Cabinet commended the high turnout and support from the citizens, highlighting the unity and solidarity displayed by the Qatari people.

The Cabinet also praised the efforts of various state agencies and national cadres in ensuring the success of the referendum process. The broad popular participation was acknowledged as a testament to the national responsibility of the Qatari people. The Cabinet emphasized the importance of maintaining the principles of Shura, justice, and the rule of law in the country’s development.

The outcome of the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit held in Riyadh was welcomed by the Cabinet, with participation from Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The Cabinet expressed appreciation for the efforts of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in hosting the summit and called for urgent Arab-Islamic action to end Israeli aggression in Gaza, Palestine, and Lebanon.

The Cabinet also welcomed new ministers and thanked former ministers for their valuable contributions to the nation. The emphasis was placed on intensifying efforts to implement the Third National Development Strategy and achieve Qatar National Vision 2030. The Cabinet approved various draft laws and strategies aimed at enhancing the country’s development and preserving its national identity.

In conclusion, the Cabinet reviewed reports on counter-terrorism efforts, performance management, and business forums, making appropriate decisions based on the findings. The government of Qatar affirmed its commitment to cooperation with international partners in various fields, including youth, sports, and atomic energy. Overall, the Cabinet meeting demonstrated the government’s dedication to advancing Qatar’s development and ensuring the well-being of its citizens.
