Saudi carrier flynas has recently announced direct flights between various destinations in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, with operations starting on September 1st. The airline will offer routes between Riyadh and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport, Jeddah and Abu Dhabi/Sharjah, and Madinah and Abu Dhabi/Sharjah. Fares for these flights start as low as Dh239 for a trip from DWC to Riyadh, and Dh249 for a journey from Abu Dhabi/Sharjah to Madinah. Travelers can expect to pay at least Dh365 for a flight to Jeddah.

This expansion of flynas’ services is in line with Saudi Arabia’s National Civil Aviation Strategy, with a focus on improving the Pilgrims Experience Program to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques. In 2020, Saudi Arabia had the largest share of outbound departures from the UAE at 30%, and along with India, shared the first spot for inbound arrivals to the UAE at 14%. Various airlines already operate between the two countries, including Air Arabia, Flydubai, Saudia, Etihad Airways, and Emirates Airlines. However, by September 2024, flynas will be the sole Saudi airline serving the four major airports in the UAE.

Flynas currently connects over 70 domestic and international destinations with more than 1,500 weekly flights, having flown over 78 million passengers since its establishment in 2007. With this new announcement of direct flights between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the airline aims to further improve connectivity for travelers between the two nations. This move will not only benefit tourists but will also enhance business and trade relations between the two countries.

The competitive fares offered by flynas for these direct flights make traveling between Saudi Arabia and the UAE more affordable for passengers. With flights starting as low as Dh239, travelers can easily explore various cities and attractions in both countries. The introduction of these routes will also provide more options for travelers looking to visit popular destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, and Riyadh.

Flynas’ commitment to expanding its services aligns with the increasing demand for air travel between Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The airline’s strategic decision to become the only Saudi carrier serving all major airports in the UAE demonstrates its dedication to providing convenient and accessible travel options for passengers. By offering direct flights between key destinations, flynas aims to enhance the overall travel experience for its customers.

Overall, the introduction of direct flights between Saudi Arabia and the UAE by flynas signifies a significant milestone in enhancing connectivity and travel opportunities between the two countries. With competitive fares, convenient routes, and a strong focus on customer experience, the airline is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of air travel in the region. Passengers can look forward to seamless and efficient travel experiences, whether for tourism, business, or pilgrimage purposes, with flynas’ expanded services.
