The travel industry in the UAE is currently experiencing a surge in demand for international trips as residents take advantage of attractive last-minute deals just before the start of the new school term. Bookings for August and September have increased by more than 50 per cent compared to the same period last year, with popular destinations including Thailand, the Maldives, Turkey, the UK, and Mauritius. Travel experts are also seeing a rise in interest in cooler destinations in Europe, as well as winter landscapes in countries like New Zealand and South Africa.

Late winter in South Africa and New Zealand is trending for those seeking cooler weather, while Thailand and the Indian Ocean remain popular destinations offering excellent rates. Many travellers are also opting for summer escapes in Europe, taking advantage of sun-filled days to explore vibrant cities or relax on beautiful beaches. Despite the summer season drawing to a close, travel enthusiasm remains high, with a growing demand for spontaneous getaways, according to industry experts.

Destinations like Georgia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan are becoming more accessible with offers starting at Dh1,799, Dh1,999, and Dh1,299, respectively. Travellers are embracing these affordable offers and taking advantage of the perfect time to book a spontaneous escape. Last-minute bookings are on the rise from stunning landscapes in Africa to tropical paradises in Asia, with travellers showing interest in renowned spots like Kenya, Thailand, Poland, Russia, Trabzon in Turkey, the Maldives, and Malaysia for their final summer adventures.

Trabzon in Turkey is experiencing heightened interest due to its unique blend of natural beauty and historical charm, while the Maldives offers a luxurious and relaxing retreat. Malaysia caters to a wide range of preferences, from cosmopolitan cities to lush landscapes, appealing to a diverse spectrum of travellers. Overall, the UAE travel industry is witnessing a rapid increase in international travel demand as residents seek to make the most of their break before the new school term begins. With last-minute deals and affordable offers to various destinations, travellers are embracing spontaneous getaways and exploring a wide range of options for their summer adventures.
