The iPhone 16 has made its debut in the UAE, causing excitement among tech enthusiasts who lined up for hours to get their hands on the latest release. The new phone comes with various new features, including Apple Intelligence and Visual Intelligence, aimed at enhancing the user experience. However, if the phone does not meet your expectations, Apple’s return policy allows for a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Tomorrow, Thursday, October 3, is the deadline for returning the iPhone 16 for those who purchased it on launch day.

Contrary to some online information, Apple does not charge a fee for returning opened units or closed box returns. Refunds can be processed in-store or through call center agents for purchases made in store, and online for purchases made online. Refunds will be issued in the same mode of payment used for the purchase. Additionally, customers can request a refund or credit the difference if the price of the product is reduced within 14 days of purchase, excluding limited-time price reductions during special sales events.

To return your iPhone 16 in the UAE, users who purchased their phones in-store must contact Apple’s toll number or visit the store to initiate the refund process. Customers need to provide their receipt, reasons for the refund, and other details. Terms to consider include returning products in the country of purchase and disabling theft protection software before returning the product. For online purchases, returns can be made through Apple’s ‘Order Status’ website or by calling customer service.

When applying for a refund for online purchases, customers need to provide the web order number, contact phone number, and a pickup address for the goods. Users will receive an email confirmation with a Return Material Authorisation (RMA) number to be placed on the packaging for a quick return process. The phone must be dropped off at the pickup point within five days of applying for the return. Refunds may take up to 5-7 days to reach the customer’s account from the date the item is received by the warehouse.

Customers should also note that any charges incurred by mobile service providers are their responsibility, as returning the phone does not guarantee account cancellation or reset. The latest iPhone 16 models are priced at Dh3,399 for the base model, with the iPhone 16 Plus starting at Dh3,799. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models are priced at Dh4,299 and Dh5,099 respectively for the base models in the UAE.

In conclusion, those who purchased the iPhone 16 in the UAE and wish to return it can do so within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. The process is simple and can be completed in-store or online, depending on the purchase method. Customers should follow the guidelines provided by Apple to ensure a smooth return process and receive their refund in a timely manner.
