The Muscat Financial Services Authority (FSA) recently launched the Maharat programme, designed to enhance the skills and competencies of new employees, particularly fresh graduates, to increase their understanding of applicable laws and regulations and encourage them to excel in their roles. The initiative also aims to instill a positive work environment and equip new hires with essential skills such as communication, planning, time management, teamwork, emotional intelligence, and writing. This three-week training programme seeks to prepare employees to navigate diverse scenarios and optimize their performance for the benefit of the FSA.

The Maharat programme reflects the FSA’s commitment to nurturing its human resources and ensuring continued professional development. By empowering employees to think creatively, problem-solve, and make informed decisions, the FSA strives to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness within the organization. Through group activities and individual coaching led by certified trainers, the programme will foster a collaborative learning environment and provide participants with valuable insights from experts both within and outside Oman.

Participants in the Maharat programme can expect to enhance their communication skills, plan strategically, manage their time effectively, collaborate with colleagues, understand and regulate their emotions, and improve their writing abilities. By acquiring these vital competencies, new employees will be better equipped to handle challenges and contribute to the overall success of the FSA. The programme’s holistic approach focuses on developing well-rounded professionals who can adapt to different situations, think critically, and work cohesively as part of a team.

In addition to technical skills related to laws and regulations, the Maharat programme places a strong emphasis on fostering a positive workplace culture and promoting personal growth among employees. By nurturing essential qualities such as emotional intelligence, teamwork, and effective communication, the programme aims to create a supportive environment where employees feel empowered and motivated to excel in their roles. Through targeted training sessions and interactive workshops, participants will gain valuable insights and practical tools to succeed in their professional endeavors.

The Maharat programme’s comprehensive curriculum covers a wide range of skills and competencies essential for success in the financial services sector. By focusing on both technical expertise and soft skills development, the programme equips participants with a well-rounded foundation to navigate the complexities of their roles and excel in their careers. In addition to enhancing individual performance, the programme aims to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the FSA, driving innovation and excellence in all aspects of the organization’s operations.

Overall, the Maharat programme represents a significant investment in the professional growth and development of new employees at the Muscat Financial Services Authority. By providing a structured and comprehensive training experience that emphasizes both technical competence and soft skills development, the programme aims to empower participants to excel in their roles, contribute positively to the organization, and drive innovation and excellence within the financial services sector in Oman. Through its focus on building a positive work environment, fostering personal growth, and enhancing individual competencies, the Maharat programme sets a strong foundation for success and growth for all participants.
