Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, announced the discovery of multiple oil and gas fields in the Eastern Province and Empty Quarter. According to the official Saudi news agency, Saudi Aramco, the Saudi Arabian Oil Company, found two unconventional oil fields, a reservoir of light Arabian oil, two natural gas fields, and two natural gas reservoirs. This announcement was followed by gratitude and congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Crown Prince for the achievements made.

The ‘Al-Ladam’ unconventional oil field was discovered in the Eastern Region with a flow of very light Arabian oil, while the ‘Al-Furooq’ unconventional oil field was also discovered with a similar flow rate. Additionally, the ‘Unaizah B/C’ reservoir, located in ‘Mazalej,’ showed a promising flow of light Arabian oil. These discoveries contribute significantly to Saudi Arabia’s energy reserves and economic standing in the global market.

In the Empty Quarter, natural gas discoveries included the ‘Al-Jahq’ field and the ‘Al-Katuf’ field. These fields showed substantial natural gas flows from various reservoirs, indicating the potential for future development and utilization. The ‘Hanifa’ reservoir, also located in the Empty Quarter, exhibited significant natural gas and condensate flows, further emphasizing the richness of Saudi Arabia’s energy resources.

The continuous exploration and discovery of oil and gas fields in Saudi Arabia reflect the country’s commitment to maintaining and expanding its position as a leading energy producer. These discoveries not only boost the country’s energy reserves but also enhance its role in the global energy market. With the latest findings in the Eastern Province and Empty Quarter, Saudi Arabia further solidifies its status as a key player in the energy industry.

The discovery of these oil and gas fields in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province and Empty Quarter highlights the country’s ongoing efforts to diversify its energy resources and secure its position as a major player in the global market. As the world’s largest oil exporter, Saudi Arabia’s new findings contribute to its long-term energy strategy and economic stability. By investing in exploration and development, the country ensures its continued success in the energy sector.

With the recent discoveries in the Eastern Province and Empty Quarter, Saudi Arabia’s energy sector is poised for growth and innovation. The ongoing exploration and development of new oil and gas fields demonstrate the country’s commitment to meeting domestic and international energy demands. As Saudi Arabia continues to expand its energy reserves, it remains a key player in shaping the future of the global energy landscape.
