Al Rusayl Industrial City, managed by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), has had a successful first half of 2024, localizing 8 projects with a total investment of OMR8 million. This brings the total number of investment contracts signed in the same period to 488, with a total investment volume exceeding OMR766 million. The industrial city also boasts a workforce of 19,854 employees, with an Omanisation rate of 33%.

Established in 1983, Al Rusayl Industrial City has undergone significant development over the years, with an increase in both the number of projects and the area allocated to it. The industrial city, originally covering 3.5 million sqm, has seen its area expand to 10.5 million sqm, of which approximately 6.8 million sqm are developed and 95% of the zone is engaged. This growth highlights the industrial city’s importance as one of the oldest components of Madayn.

Eng. Mohsin Zahran Al Hinai, the CEO of Al Rusayl Industrial City Company, emphasized the positive impact of the industrial city’s expansion on the local economy. He stated that the success in localizing 8 projects in the first half of 2024 demonstrates the city’s appeal to investors and its ability to support economic growth in the region. The total investments in Al Rusayl Industrial City showcase its role as a key player in driving industrial development in Oman.

With a workforce of nearly 20,000 employees and an Omanisation rate of 33%, Al Rusayl Industrial City contributes significantly to job creation and skill development in the region. The industrial city provides employment opportunities for a large number of Omanis, helping to enhance their skills and contribute to the country’s economic diversification efforts. The success in attracting investment and creating jobs underscores the city’s importance as a hub for industrial activities in Oman.

Al Hinai highlighted the importance of Al Rusayl Industrial City as a major contributor to Oman’s industrial landscape. He noted that the industrial city plays a crucial role in promoting economic growth and diversification, with its strategic location and world-class facilities attracting investors from various sectors. The city’s continued growth and success in localizing projects reflect its status as a preferred destination for industrial investments in Oman.

Overall, Al Rusayl Industrial City’s achievements in localizing projects and attracting investments demonstrate its significance as a leading industrial hub in Oman. With a strong focus on economic growth, job creation, and skills development, the city continues to play a key role in driving industrial development and promoting economic diversification in the region. As a vital component of Madayn, Al Rusayl Industrial City is poised to further expand its industrial capabilities and contribute to Oman’s vision of a diversified and sustainable economy.
