On-Device AI Becomes a Major Industry Trend Led by HONOR and Apple

However, pioneering Android players like HONOR have already been leading the way in this space. HONOR’s innovative AI strategy has received high praise from experts and has been recognized as the future of the smartphone industry. Apple seems to be following in HONOR’s footsteps with similar intent-based AI, multimodal interaction, and privacy protection features.

HONOR’s four-layered AI strategy focuses on local processing to ensure user privacy and provide personalized services. Apple’s recent introduction of Apple Intents aligns closely with HONOR’s intent-based UI approach in MagicOS 8.0. The goal is to anticipate users’ intent and streamline processes to enhance user experience. Multimodal interaction, which allows users to control their devices in new ways, is another trend that both companies are emphasizing. HONOR’s eye-controlled interactions have been a pioneering feature, indicating that multimodal interaction is the way forward for the industry.

At Viva Tech, HONOR unveiled its four-layered AI approach, which prioritizes local processing and seamless connectivity between devices. The Cross-device and Cross-system layer ensures smooth connectivity, while the Platform-level AI layer enhances usability. The Application-level AI layer is used for tasks like image segmentation and video rendering, and the Cloud-based AI layer delivers advanced functionalities using large AI models from the cloud. HONOR’s innovative approach to AI serves as a blueprint for the industry and sets the standard for on-device AI revolution.

Looking ahead, HONOR’s work with multilayer AI is expected to shape the future of on-device AI technology. Its focus on user privacy, secure local processing, and the integration of cloud services positions HONOR as a leader in the industry. Apple’s adoption of similar features suggests that the wider industry will follow suit. With HONOR at the forefront, we can expect smarter, more secure devices that prioritize user privacy and empower users. HONOR’s pioneering approach is paving the way for a future of transformative technology that benefits both users and the industry as a whole.
