Oman Data Park and Omantel have recently announced a collaboration to provide Uqudo digital identity solutions for infrastructure in Oman. This partnership aims to accelerate the digital transformation in the Sultanate and enhance the security and efficiency of online identity verification processes. CEO of Oman Data Park, Eng. Maqbool Al-Wahaibi, highlighted the significance of this collaboration with Omantel in expanding the utilization of Uqudo’s platform. The digital identity technologies offered by Uqudo include customer enrollment, verification, biometric detection, NFC-based passport reading, document analysis, eKYC technologies, and AI. This partnership will lead to the development of integrated offerings to support Oman’s digital journey, enhance user experience, ensure security, and improve access to online services across the country.

Ghassan Al-Hashar, Chief Financial Officer at Omantel, emphasized the strategic importance of working with Oman Data Park, a leading provider of cybersecurity and managed cloud services in the region. This cooperation will enable the two companies to address challenges in the field of digital identity solutions and contribute to the growth of the digital economy in Oman. The implementation of Uqudo’s service by Oman Data Park, in collaboration with Omantel, is expected to benefit businesses on the ODP platform by providing comprehensive identity solutions that support their overall growth while meeting regulatory requirements.

In addition to providing Uqudo’s digital identity solutions, the partnership between Oman Data Park and Omantel will play a crucial role in advancing Oman’s digital transformation efforts.
