Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business has recently secured new orders in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and India for the establishment of crucial substations and transmission lines. These projects are essential for strengthening the interconnected electricity network, which plays a key role in speeding up the clean energy transition and ensuring a reliable power supply.

Saudi Arabia is working towards strengthening its 380kV network in the central region, and PT&D has been awarded contracts to build a 380kV Substation and overhead line segments. In the UAE, PT&D has secured orders to construct both a 220kV Substation and three 132kV Substations. These new additions to the network will help meet the growing electricity demand in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

In India, PT&D has received orders to execute two 765kV Double Circuit Transmission Line packages, which are crucial for evacuating power from the Jaisalmer/ Barmer Renewable Energy Zone in Rajasthan to substations in Madhya Pradesh for further interconnections. Larsen & Toubro is a prominent Indian multinational enterprise with a strong focus on EPC Projects, Hi-Tech Manufacturing, and Services, operating across various geographies.

With a customer-centric approach and a commitment to top-notch quality, Larsen & Toubro has maintained its leadership in major business sectors for over eight decades. By securing these new orders in key markets, the PT&D business of Larsen & Toubro is contributing towards enhancing the power infrastructure in these regions and supporting the transition towards clean and sustainable energy sources.

The projects secured by Larsen & Toubro’s PT&D business in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and India play a crucial role in bolstering the power infrastructure and ensuring a reliable power supply in these regions. By strengthening the interconnected electricity network, these projects are supporting the transition towards clean energy sources and helping meet the increasing electricity demand in key markets.

Larsen & Toubro’s expertise in executing complex projects in the power transmission and distribution sector has enabled the company to secure these new orders and further strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and India. With a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects, Larsen & Toubro is well-positioned to continue playing a key role in the development of the power infrastructure in these regions and supporting the transition towards sustainable energy sources.
