Hero MotoCorp, a leading manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has reported strong sales figures for the month of August 2024. The company sold a total of 512,360 units of motorcycles and scooters during the month, with domestic sales reaching 492,263 units. Despite facing some supply shortages, the company managed to achieve a month-on-month growth of 38 per cent in its overall dispatch volumes.

In the current financial year (April-August 2025), Hero MotoCorp has sold a total of 24,17,790 units of motorcycles and scooters, marking an 8 per cent increase compared to the same period in the previous financial year. The company is optimistic about the upcoming festive season and expects to see healthy growth in the market. With a focus on the rural segment, expansion in the 125cc segment, new scooter launches, and strong investment in power brands, Hero MotoCorp is confident about outperforming the industry.

The company’s electric vehicle brand, VIDA, has shown promising growth, with monthly dispatches crossing 6,000 units for the first time. Hero MotoCorp’s retail market share (VAHAN) has also increased to over 5 per cent. In terms of global business, the company has seen growth in August dispatches both sequentially and year-on-year, with sales up by 32 per cent year-to-date (April-August 2025).

Hero MotoCorp is witnessing strong demand for its diverse portfolio in the 125cc segment, particularly for the Xtreme 125R model. The company continues to expand its global footprint and has recently entered into a strategic collaboration with Terrafirma Motors Corporation (TMC) to commence operations in the Philippines. TMC will serve as the assembler and distributor of Hero MotoCorp products and services in the country, further strengthening the company’s presence in the international market.
