The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has prompted UAE-based airlines to extend their flight cancellations to Beirut. Dubai-based Emirates Airlines, as well as Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, have both decided to suspend flights to and from Beirut due to the unrest in Lebanon. Passengers transiting through Dubai or Abu Dhabi with a final destination of Beirut will not be accepted for travel until the respective dates given by the airlines. Both airlines have assured that the safety of their guests and crew is their top priority and regret any inconvenience caused by the cancellations.

Air Arabia, operating out of Sharjah International Airport, has also cancelled flights to Beirut until September 29. Flydubai flights between Dubai International Airport and Beirut have been cancelled until September 27, with passengers being advised to contact the airline for rebooking or refund options. Emirates has urged affected customers to contact their booking agents for alternative travel arrangements and ensure their contact details are updated for timely updates on travel plans.

The Israeli military reported hitting around 75 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including ammunition depots of the armed group. The United States, France, and several allies have called for an immediate 21-day ceasefire across the Israel-Lebanon border, as well as expressing support for a ceasefire in Gaza following discussions at the United Nations.
