The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Emaar Hospitality Group have joined hands to ensure that Dubai remains a leading force in the global hospitality industry. The Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two entities focuses on enhancing marketing and promotional efforts, developing tourism products and experiences, providing training, and increasing capacity building. The collaboration aims to highlight Dubai’s unique attractions, boost its global reputation, and attract more visitors to the city.

Under the MoU, DET and Emaar Hospitality Group will work together to implement innovative marketing and promotion strategies that showcase Dubai as a must-visit destination. The partnership will also concentrate on creating new tourism products and experiences that cater to the diverse interests of visitors. By leveraging Dubai’s rich cultural heritage, modern attractions, and luxurious hospitality offerings, the collaboration aims to offer packages and experiences that highlight the city’s unique and authentic attractions.

DEP will facilitate specialized training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of Emaar Hospitality Group staff. Through workshops, training sessions, and certification programs, employees will be equipped with the latest industry knowledge and best practices. This initiative is expected to elevate the guest experience and contribute to Dubai’s status as a global leader in tourism and hospitality.

After achieving a record-breaking 17.15 million international overnight visitors in 2023, Dubai’s tourism industry has continued to show growth in 2024. The city welcomed 10.62 million international overnight visitors in the first seven months of 2024, marking an 8% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Additionally, Dubai’s hotel sector has performed well in various hospitality metrics, including a high occupancy rate of 77.1%, which is among the highest in the world.

The collaboration between DET and Emaar Hospitality Group is seen as a transformative milestone that aims to redefine luxury hospitality in Dubai. By aligning their expertise and vision, the partnership aims to create impactful tourism experiences that resonate on a global scale. This collaboration is expected to enhance Dubai’s appeal, drive visitor growth, and set new standards of excellence in the hospitality industry, further solidifying the city’s position as a top global tourist destination.

Through this partnership, both entities aim to contribute to Dubai’s tourism momentum and global appeal. The collaboration seeks to elevate the visitor and guest experience in the city, reflecting a shared commitment to consolidate Dubai’s position as a global leader in tourism and hospitality. The aim is to set new standards of excellence in the hospitality industry and contribute to Dubai’s continued growth as a popular destination for international travelers.
