Contracts valued at over OMR304 million awarded for extra works

The latest meeting of the Tender Board in Muscat saw tenders and additional works being awarded to the tune of OMR304.01 million. These projects cover a wide range of development fields, including road infrastructure, healthcare facilities, tourism promotion, and more. Some of the key tenders awarded include the implementation of the dual-carriageway of Adam-Thumrait Road parts 3, 4, and 5, as well as the construction of roads in Jebel Shams. In addition, projects such as the operation and maintenance of Sultan Qaboos University Hospital and the development of Al Ashkhara Beach were also approved.

One of the major projects approved by the Tender Board is the implementation of the dual-carriageway of Adam-Thumrait Road, costing a total of RO 257,203,419. This project aims to improve connectivity and enhance road infrastructure in the region. Another significant project is the construction of “A’Dakhiliyah Boulevard” at a cost of RO 8,373,338, which will contribute to the development of urban infrastructure in the area. Furthermore, the development of the seafront of Al Ashkhara Beach in South A’Sharqiyah Governorate is set to enhance tourism and recreation opportunities in the region.

In addition to infrastructure projects, the Tender Board also awarded contracts for the TV and digital promotion of the Sultanate of Oman in global markets, worth RO 385,089. This initiative aims to boost tourism and attract more visitors to the country. Moreover, the appointment of a tourism representative office for the Sultanate of Oman in the People’s Republic of China will further strengthen ties with an important tourism market. These projects reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing various sectors and promoting economic growth in the country.

Furthermore, the Tender Board approved the periodic maintenance of dentistry chairs for various health institutions, worth RO 217,807. This project aims to ensure the proper functioning of healthcare facilities and provide quality services to patients. Overall, the projects awarded by the Tender Board cover a wide range of sectors, from infrastructure development to healthcare, tourism, and promotion. These initiatives will contribute to the overall development and growth of the Sultanate of Oman, creating opportunities for economic advancement and improving the quality of life for its residents.

In conclusion, the recent meeting of the Tender Board in Muscat resulted in the approval of several key projects totaling OMR304.01 million.
